Excelsior Designs Illuminates with Cristallo Additions

April 2005, High Point, N.C.

Excelsior Designs, well-known for its striking, artistic interpretations of contemporary designs in furniture, brings new looks in lighting to its Cristallo collection during the April 2005 International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C. In 2003, Excelsior Designs added lighting to its product assortment. The addition was in direct response to customers expressing needs for more contemporary lighting options to complement their modern furniture looks. Table and floor lamps emerged, some with veneers matching Casa Novalia collections, and others crafted of materials designed to accessorize Excelsior Designs aesthetics.

This spring brings the first addition to Cristallo lighting since its debut, borne again by demand from consumers and retailers. More than half a dozen lighting options are available, crafted of stainless steel and glass and featuring touch lighting. The high quality is easily recognized and is an obvious extension of the style, care, artistry and craftsmanship that goes into all Excelsior Designs and Casa Novalia products.

Designs include Metro, with a frosted glass elongated rectangular shade with a brushed, stainless steel base that when lit creates a glowing, glamorous ambiance. Fun retro looks are found in the Cosmo floor and table lamps with their polished steel disks suspended in rows which function as the lamps’ shade. The disks glimmer and shimmer giving a movement and kinetic excitement. Stratus has a decidedly Art Deco look with its almost Eiffel-tower-like polished stainless steel based topped with a frosted glass torchiere.

Though these fashionable shapes serve the purpose of lighting a room, their chic designs provide visual excitement and interest to any décor and seemingly stand alone as alluring works of art.
